Yesterday saw our first day of competition, and with our last player from Bermuda arriving late last night, the Hougue du Pommier Stadium is abuzz with competitors from eight different islands. On our facebook are a few snapshots we got before the matches yesterday, with a surprise visit from Jet the Puffin!
It was a day of strong competition and we’ve seen some outstanding performances, with particular mentions to the Falkland Islands’ Men Triples team, and most certainly the Guernsey Ladies Triples team who have so far won their games by a collective score of 40-14 against two very tough opponents. We have no doubt that this is just the beginning of a great competition and we look forward to keeping you up to date.
